Madaba was my last stop in Jordan. Having earlier stayed at locally run/ owned hotels, I was impressed with the cleaness and comfort at Salome. Overall, my initial expectations were exceeded and I was sold! Nb. Although the heater was not turned on, the room was provided with this fan that generates warm air to keep us warm n nice through the chilly night! - A Very thoughtful gesture by the hotel!

Spotless room plus television with satellite channels, climate control, and a personal safe. Location close enough to a department store...
Beds were a little hard.

We were treated with special attention by the family who manages the hotel. A special place where you can rest and relax and see wonderful things in your immediate surroundings such as the St. Georges Church in Madaba. The hotel serves an excellent breakfast and has a 24 hour room service function. We took trips to the Dead Sea, Bethany etc. Mr. Tarfeeq Salahat - guide and driver treated us to excellent trips, what wonderful hospitality and someone you would want to hook up with on a trip to Madaba. The Salome Hotel has fixed tarriffs for day trips. How refreshing to have Mr. Tarfeeq stopping for photo shoots and assisting us to get the best prices for little treasures to take home, at different venues. Salome Hotel and Mr. Tarfeeq are excellent ambassadors and one of the best experiences we have had of Jordan so far!

Not the cheapest one yet great value. New building and rooms with twin beds. Central location, approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Tell Madaba. Outstanding and great milk, pancakes, and eggs for breakfast.

We were completely satisfied with our stay in Salome Hotel. The managers were very helpful and friendly. Being vegetarians, we had worries about maintaining our diet in Jordan, during Ramadan, but all such worries proved unnecessary thanks to kind assistance and understanding of Salome staff. The hotel is also conveniently situated close to the market and it is just 10 minute walk from St George's Church with its famous mosaic map. Hotel also organizes trips to the Dead Sea, Wadi Mujib (absolutely fantastic place with landscapes reminding of Grand Canyon), Ma'in (hot spring) and other destinations. We were very lucky because a driver Tawfeeq, recommended by Salome Hotel, turned out to be not just a driver, but a very intelligent person and excellent guide who helped us to discover beauty of Jordan (we surely would not approach Wadi Mujib's waterfall so close without Tawfeeq's attentive quidance). We enjoyed our stay in Madaba, in this nice and comfy Salome Hotel thanks to a wonderful team of people working there.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great welcome and every question anticipated upon arrival without needing to ask eg map provided, main attractions pointed out and good English spoken. Staff were always happy to go the extra mile. Hotel had nice family run feel about it and was a very relaxed environment. Lovely room and very clean. Would definitely recommend to others and if we were going back to Madaba we would stay here again.
Shower temperature was a a bit cool.

Helpful and responsive staff. Available drivers/taxi's/tour guides organised with pre listed prices for any trips the hotel guests wish to make. Given that our holiday location was Madaba in Jordan being able to trust a driver was crucially important - we felt the hotel fulfilled this criteria. In addition the hotel and our room was clean light and airy.
The personal service we received means that we have no complaints at all.

The friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the short distance to Queen Alia Airport and that the sites of Madaba are within walking distance and the fair price was, what we liked best.
The hotel could be easier to find.
